The Bilingual Sounding Parallel Method
The Bilingual Sounding Parallel Method = The Virtual Speech Immersion Method = The Grammar-free Language Learning Method
The Method is developed for the students with basic computer skills, reading skills of at least their native language English, and motivation to repeat the text fragments that is for the students who are ready to work on their own.
This system is - as contrasted with the usual bilingual teaching systems and combined with the idea of the immersion method - by far the fastest path toward bilingual ability for the motivated student and it actually helps you to become basically fluent in Russian.
The original text in Russian, its English translation and the original Russian synchronous sounding are presented concurrently and segmented into PHRASEs and PAGEs enabling the multiple reading and listening option for the fragment until you completely understand it by ear and you can reproduce it in the performer’s tempo, phrasing, intonation, and pronunciation.
Grammar lessons remain simply supplementary and not obligatory. You can consult them from time to time to deepen the understanding of what has already been learned intuitively.
How does the Method work?
The basic learning unit is a PHRASE.
The next fragment – a PAGE – consists of four PHRASEs and is used as the first level of independent testing.
LISTENING COMPREHENSION
Having opened the first PAGE, on the monitor, you will see the first highlighted PHRASE in the original together with its word-for-word translation.
When the “by PHRASE” radio-button is active, play and listen to the PHRASE as many times as you need until you understand it without reading.
Proceed to the next PHRASE …
Every PAGE consists of four PHRASEs.
Stop at the end of the first PAGE and check your LISTENING COMPREHENSION of this PAGE, playing it with “by PAGE” active radio-button.
If you understand everything without looking at the text, proceed to the next PAGE …
SPEAKING
Keep repeating the PHRASE you like until you fit into the same tempo, phrasing, intonation, and pronunciation with the performer.
In the process of multiple repetitions the studied PHRASE will definitely enrich your vocabulary.
This is the simplest way we recommend to use the Bilingual Sounding Parallel Language Learning Method.
But you can find your own way.
Feel free to choose!
